Rik has been with Getty Images for 15 years, where he has held several roles in both London and New York, working across Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Reporting & Analysis.
Rik, a qualified accountant, joined the global media business in 2003 in London as Director of FP&A. where he created and managed the team that provides analytical resource across over 40 countries. Rik was then promoted to Senior Director then later Vice President of Business Intelligence, overseeing all customer analysis as the industry moved from print to digital. In 2014, he became the Vice President of Enterprise Reporting & Analysis which saw the merging of the FP&A and Business Intelligence teams.
Rik was a key part of the team that successfully completed the two go private transactions in 2008 and 2012 with Hellman & Friedman and The Carlyle Group respectfully, as well as later leading the company’s most recent transaction in September 2018, when Getty Images was acquired back by Co-Founder Mark Getty and the Getty family.
Prior to joining Getty Images, Rik held several senior leadership roles at Dell Computers and Hewlett Packard.
Originally from Oxford, United Kingdom, Rik lives in the Financial District in New York.
