New York- May 21, 2019: Getty Images, a world leader in visual communications, and the World Surf League (WSL) have today announced a partnership that sees Getty Images become the exclusive provider of imagery from the WSL’s global calendar of events. As part of the deal, Getty Images will now represent approximately 70,000 historical WSL images dating back to 2000.
The WSL has been championing the world’s best surfing since 1976, annually running more than 180 global events across the Men’s and Women’s Championship Tours, the Big Wave Tour, the Longboard Tour, Qualifying Series, Junior Championships, as well as the WSL Big Wave Awards.
