Premium sport imagery from the Bundesliga available globally like never before as Getty Images and DFL Sports Enterprises enter into partnership

Munich – 11 November, 2014: Getty Images and DFL Sports Enterprises today announced an agreement in which Getty Images has acquired sales rights for both archive photos and the future production of images from Bundesliga for global distribution to media companies on its unrivaled platform.

The content is now available on and Getty Images holds respective rights for distribution worldwide, outside of Germany. The collection contains action shots of history making moments from Bundesliga matches as well as high-end portraits of the players and coaches of all 18 teams.

“The agreement with DFL Sports Enterprises is the next step on the road of expanding Getty Images’ sport portfolio with unique and relevant content as part of our overarching sport strategy,” said Lee Martin, Senior Vice President Sport, Getty Images.

“Over the years we have enjoyed a successful relationship with the League which has an absolute wealth of premium football imagery so we are excited to push this content out globally like never before, and to offer our clients yet more best-in-class content they won’t find elsewhere.”

Getty Images has worked with Bundesliga since 2006, producing exclusive imagery that showcases the best of Bundesliga on and off the field.
