Lynsey Addario to create Nobel Prize Peace exhibition

Getty Images is delighted to announce that award-winning Reportage by Getty Images’ photojournalist, Lynsey Addario, alongside BBC World’s chief correspondent, Lyse Doycet, has been selected to create the Nobel Prize Peace exhibition in 2014, focused on Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi. The exhibition, titled Malala & Kailash, will open in Oslo on 11 December, 2014 and will be on display at City Hall for 10 weeks.

A leader in her field, Addario has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Darfur, and Congo, and shot features across the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa highlighting the human crisis of war to the world.  Currently based in London, Addario is a self-taught photographer and began her professional career in 1996.

Reportage by Getty Images represents and promotes many of the world’s most prestigious and experienced photojournalists, showcasing their work to and securing assignments with clients around the world including leading magazines, television networks, newspapers, and corporations.

This is the first time a Reportage by Getty Images photojournalist has been honoured with this esteemed commission.
