GETTY IMAGES TRANSFORMS THE FADER FORT INTO A LIVING GALLERY OF ICONIC MUSIC IMAGES DURING 6-DAY
EVENT IN AUSTIN

New York, NY, March 11, 2016 –The FADER FORT, long positioned as the spot to see live music during its March homestead in Austin, Texas, today announces a partnership with Getty Images, the world’s leader in visual communication, to bring Fader’s annual celebration of emerging artists and culture to life through the power of imagery.

The partnership with Getty Images will see The FADER FORT site transformed into a gallery of iconic moments in music, showcasing powerful imagery from the Getty Images archive. The three-acre venue will feature images of memorable past performances.

A Getty Images photographer will also be onsite to capture The FADER FORT performances and fans in the crowd, and these images will feature in a living photography installation which will be refreshed with new content daily. Guests at The FADER FORT are invited to join in the action and have their picture taken by a Getty Images roving photographer as part of the recently-launched #GettyGotMe social campaign.

“Among the world’s leading music, style and culture publications, The FADER understands the power of imagery in storytelling,” said Getty Images Chief Marketing Officer Susan Smith Ellis. “It is this expertise which powers one of America’s most iconic music venues, The FADER FORT, that makes it the perfect location to bring Getty Images’ world class entertainment photography to life.”

The programming for this year’s FADER FORT, now expanded to six full days, is focused on bringing the magic of discovery back to audiences across the expanding scope of the publication’s coverage through tech, comedy, art, style, and music.
