Getty Images and A.S. Roma announce partnership

Getty Images and top Italian football club A.S. Roma today announced a strategic agreement in which Getty Images will acquire global sales rights for a newly-curated collection of imagery that documents the storied Italian football club both on and off the field. A.S. Roma content will be available exclusively via Getty Images’ platform and Getty Images will also distribute the content globally via its other distribution channels.

As part of the partnership, Getty Images will distribute content from matches all over the world as well as from from exclusive, behind-the-scenes areas around the club that have often not been seen before by football fans.

“The agreement with Roma is the next step on the road of expanding Getty Images’ wider collaboration with the international football family by providing our partners with a global platform to take their brands to the widest possible audiences through unique and relevant content” said Lee Martin, Senior Vice President, Sales and Global Head of Sports, Getty Images.  “AS Roma has an enormous worldwide fan base and through this partnership new, unique content will now be amplified on a global scale alongside our own best-in-class sports photography and we look forward to helping the club achieve their wider brand objectives as a result.”

Getty Images has the largest, most comprehensive sports collection available today, including more than 15 million sports related images. Getty Images is the official partner to more than 50 sports governing bodies, leagues and clubs, including the International Olympic Committee, National Hockey League, NBA, FIFA, UEFA, Manchester United and many other English premier league clubs.
