Chief Human Resources Officer
Leander LeSure serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for Getty Images, overseeing all aspects of the company’s diverse global workforce – effective 12 December, 2016.
Based in New York and sitting on the Executive Committee, Leander reports to Chief Executive Officer Dawn Airey, serving as a strategic partner. He is responsible for translating business plans into an HR strategy that runs parallel to the vision and fast growing pace of Getty Images.
As CHRO, Leander is responsible for corporate culture and values, ensuring that the company has a world-class human resources strategy to support the company’s growth and success. His responsibilities also include directing and leading people-centric global initiatives and programs that align with the company’s objectives, including staffing, employee and leadership development, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
Prior to Getty Images, Leander held the role of Global Head of Human Resources for Western Union, where he implemented a robust talent management strategy, employee engagement programs and an innovative HR operating model across the company. Previously, Leander served as the Global Head of Human Resources at American Express – a tenure that spanned 10 years – as well as held senior positions at Marsh Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Earlier in his career, Leander served in the US Navy.
Leander holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Minnesota-Carlson School of Management and originally hails from Indiana.
